Treks to do in October

Have heard that rains would be over in the north by October, what are some nice places to trek?
I have never been to north india but have done treks in South to Kudremujh, Kumara Parvat and Kemmangundi…
Looking forward to do some amazing trek, preferably which has snow/ice (have never seen snow).

Are there some groups/individuals who I can join?

    Hi Manish,

Yes, rain should be over in October, You can start trekking, hiking, camping & skiing(in Dec/Jan) as well.As the Himalayan hills are said to be an ideal place for camping, skiing, trekking and hiking.Trekking in North India is a great way of exploring nature.Manali and Chamba in Himachal Pradesh, Kumaon and Garhwal in Uttaranchal, Sikkim and Darjeeling in the north east and Zanskar in the region of Jammu and Kashmir are some of the popular places for trekking in North India. Miyar Nullah in Lahaul is another ideal place for trekking and is similar to Zanskar and Ladakh dry mountains. If you want to see snow, then you can visit Auli in Uttarakhand or Kufri in Himachal Pradesh during winters for winter sports. During Trekking in North India you will see the scenic beauty with different flowers and animals as well.

    Enjoy Your Trekking!!!

    Thanks,
    Ronith
